Adopt-A-Shoreline Program

The Lake Wausau Association has recently launched the Adopt-A-Shoreline Program to establish a means by which interested individuals and groups can adopt segments of Lake Wausau Shoreline. The goal of the program is to engage citizens in clean-up projects along the shoreline of Lake Wausau to increase awareness of this valuable resource while protecting and improving the quality of Lake Wausau.

The Lake Wausau Association will provide vests, bags for garbage collection, and sports water bottles for participants. Reminder emails will be sent to project coordinators in Spring and Fall to schedule clean up. Participants will need to provide their own work gloves. Donations to LWA

The Lake Wausau Association is a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Donations to our organization are tax deductible. Our Lake Wausau Protection and Improvement Plan focuses on four main goals: 1) Promote a healthy fishery and wildlife, 2) Improve and maintain water quality, 3) Support recreational opportunities, and 4) Create and maintain partnerships for a better Lake Wausau. Each of these goals are supported by various strategies that will require significant volunteer efforts and financial support to implement. LWA financial support is primarily funded by membership dues, fundraising efforts, donations, and grant awards (where eligible). Our organization is managed entirely by volunteers and it is their dedication and passion that ignites our accomplishments! We firmly believe our efforts to maintain a healthy lake and river system will provide improved quality of life in the communities surrounding Lake Wausau resulting from recreational, social, and economic benefits. Your donation will be recognized with an acknowledgment letter for tax deduction purposes.
